The Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair returned on Thursday with over 620 exhibitors from 23 economies, presenting wines and spirits from more than 40 regions and an inaugural global spirits area.
Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the three-day event is being held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, capitalizing on the growing demand for spirits since last October's liquor duty reduction.

The brand-new "World of Spirits" zone, featuring spirits from 14 countries and regions, shone a spotlight on the participation of six of "China's Top Ten Baijiu Brands."
Sichuan's Luzhou Laojiao brought its latest-launch baijiu product, while Kweichow Moutai showcased its iconic "Flying Fairy" Moutai and the award-winning Moutai "Golden Prince."
Local spirits brands were also featured, including Hongjiaban Maotai, founded by Hong Kong actor Timmy Hung, and Kowloon Spirits, Hong Kong's first local whiskey distillery.

International offerings included Hellyers Road 22-Year-Old American Oak, winner at the World Whiskies Awards 2025, and Martin & Ann Arndorfer Anina Verde, a wine from Austria.
Dedicated country pavilions were also established, including one for the Czech Republic, which showcased five different wine brands and two spirit brands.
Krystof Zahour, a representative from Garage22 Prague Distillery, said this is the second time for the company to participate in the fair, following last year's success in securing a distributor in Hong Kong.
"We need another distributor from Hong Kong, and we are also looking for distributors from mainland China and Singapore," he said, praising the fair for bringing diverse opportunities from all over Asia.

The first craft distillery in Prague also expects to return next year. Zahour added that he personally appreciates Hong Kong as a travel destination and for the positive outcomes it brings for business.
Other exhibitors are aiming solely to lay a foundation in the Hong Kong market through the fair, including Galilea Limited, the only champagne vendor at this year's event.

"We're here because Hong Kong is a big market for us," said Gordon C, the company's managing director.
He added that their product received significant exposure during the event. However, he expected more trade to be completed with industry partners instead of private clients.
The fair will also host 20 spirits-related events, helping industry professionals explore related culture and trends and seize new market opportunities.
On its final day, the fair will be open to the public for those aged 18 and above with ticketed admission, allowing wine lovers to taste and purchase products from around the world and enjoy a variety of engaging activities.
