Man found unconscious in Kowloon hotel room dies after hospital rescue attempt

A man has died after being found unconscious in a room at the Regal Oriental Hotel in Kowloon City on Thursday night.

Police received a report from a woman around 9pm stating that her male friend in his 50s was unconscious in a room at 30-38 Sha Po Road.

Emergency personnel arrived to find the man unconscious with blood stains on the bed. He was transported to Kwong Wah Hospital but was later pronounced dead.

The female caller had visited the hotel to check on her friend when she discovered him unconscious in the room. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
