Dee Hsu makes first public appearance since sister Barbie’s passing

Taiwanese artist Dee Hsu (also known as Little S) made an emotional return to the spotlight following the death of her sister, Barbie Hsu (Big S), earlier this year. It marked her first public appearance in eight months.

At today’s 60th Golden Bell Awards, she took home the Best Host in a Variety Show award for her talk show Dee Girls Talk.

During her tearful acceptance speech, Dee expressed her deep longing for her late sister, saying, “Life has been so hard without you, but I will keep moving forward. I love you.” She dedicated the award to Barbie, thanking her for the encouragement that inspired her to return to hosting, adding, “If it weren’t for you, I might never have come back.”

Her heartfelt words moved many in the audience to tears. Longtime collaborator and co-host Kevin Tsai accompanied her on stage, gently holding her hand and praising her courage.

The ceremony also featured a touching tribute to late artists, including Barbie, whose memory lingered poignantly throughout the night.
