The Hong Kong women's football team, which was in Dubai for the Pink Ladies Cup 2026, has safely departed and arrived in Bangkok on Wednesday night, the Football Association announced.
The association confirmed on social media Wednesday morning that the team had successfully boarded a flight leaving Dubai. Around 11pm Hong Kong time, the association posted that all team members and staff had safely arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, and will depart for Hong Kong on March 7.
"The Football Association sincerely thanks the Hong Kong SAR Government, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Dubai, and the travel agency for their coordination and support. We also thank everyone again for their continued care and support," the post stated.
The team had previously announced their withdrawal from the tournament. They have ceased all outdoor activities and are staying in their hotel in Bangkok to ensure safety. The association said it will maintain close communication with relevant departments to monitor the situation and make appropriate arrangements for the team.
Dubai Airport has been providing limited services since Monday, with the first flight from Dubai to Hong Kong scheduled to arrive at Hong Kong International Airport at 9.42pm Wednesday.
