The Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) announced at its Premier League season preview conference that the new season will kick off on August 29 with Eastern facing Kitchee at Mong Kok Stadium, while continuing efforts to host matches at the Kai Tak Sports Park facilities.
HKFA Chairman Eric Fok Kai-shan expressed hope that fans would pack the Kai Tak main stadium for Hong Kong's Asian Cup qualifier against Bangladesh on October 14. "After this summer's football festivities, our next focus is the Hong Kong team's match. We hope supporters will fill Kai Tak stadium to support our team,"

Fok stated following the press conference. Regarding the November 18 match against Singapore, he noted the venue remains undecided but expressed preference for maintaining Kai Tak as the home ground.
HKFA General Secretary Charles Cheung Yim-yau confirmed ongoing negotiations to bring Premier League matches to the Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground, though details require further resolution. "Our direction remains unchanged, but beyond rental considerations, we must address venue supporting facilities. The relatively open nature of Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground necessitates enhancements to professional standards and suitability to provide better conditions for Premier League matches," Cheung explained.
Kitchee had previously expressed interest in adopting the Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground as their home venue, though current allocations remain at Mong Kok Stadium and Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground.
