The operator of the Hong Kong's stock exchange and London Metal Exchange also appointed Ding Chen, the chief executive of CSOP Asset Management and a vice chairwoman of the Financial Services Development Council, to its board.
Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po said Ding's deep understanding of the securities market and wide connections with market participants would help the diverse development of HKEX and enhance the city's role as a global financing hub.
The reappointments and appointment will take effect after HKEX's 2025 annual general meeting, for a term of two years.
Nisa Leung Wing-yu will retire from the board.
