The first two exchange-traded funds with exposure to virtual assets futures will be listed and traded by retail investors tomorrow. They are managed ETFs issued by CSOP Asset Management.
The two ETFs are CSOP Bitcoin Futures ETF and CSOP Ethereum Futures ETF, which will be listed for trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The virtual asset ETFs launched by CSOP are primarily invested in bitcoin and ethereum futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange but not directly invested in virtual assets.
In late October, Hong Kong announced a plan to allow virtual asset futures ETFs to be listed and traded by retail investors. The ETFs allow retail investors to take part, with an offering price of HK$7.8 per unit and a minimum investment of HK$780 per lot of 100 units, as well as an annual management fee of 1.99 percent.
