Hong Kong shares open lower on uncertain Iran crisis outlook

Hong Kong stocks opened lower on Friday due to uncertainty over the de-escalation of the Iran crisis.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index inched down 87 points, or 0.35 percent, to 24,768.

The tech gauge decreased 0.44 percent to 4,740.

SMIC fell 2 percent despite a profit growth last year, while Meituan (3690) slipped 0.6 percent as its results swung to a loss.
