Xi Jingping visits Xiong'an New Area in Hebei

Chinese President Xi Jinping visited the Xiong'an New Area in Hebei Province on Monday, where he inspected the construction progress in the startup zone.

Xi visited China Huaneng and the Xiong'an Campus of Beijing No 4 High School to learn about the development of the area.

He greeted representatives of officials and staff from organizations that have been relocated or are under construction as part of the projects to reduce Beijing's non-essential functions, streamlining its role as China's capital.

Xi also chaired a symposium on further advancing the high-quality construction and development of the area.
