Hong Kong stocks dipped slightly on Wednesday afternoon

Hong Kong stocks edged lower in the afternoon on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index dropped 43.84 points, or 0.17 percent, to 25,825 points. 

The half day market turnover was HK$108.98 billion.

The Hang Seng Tech Index fell 41.53 points to 5,066 points.

In the mainland, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index declined 0.4 percent to 4,034 points and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Component Index rose 0.05 percent to 14,045 points.
