Hong Kong stocks’ loss narrowed by midday on the Iran conflict on Monday.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index plunged more than 700 points at one point in the morning trading session, before paring the decline to 420 points, or 1.6 percent, to 26,209 points at noon.
The half-day market turnover was HK$193.5 billion.
The Hang Seng Tech Index slumped 2.1 percent to 5,030 points at noon.
In the mainland, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index was flat at 4,163 points and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Component Index dropped by 0.75 percent to 14,386 points at the midday close.
