WUXI AppTec expects profit to more than double last year

WUXI AppTec (2359) expects profit for last year to reach about 19.15 billion yuan (HK$21.4 billion), representing a year-on-year increase of around 103 percent, according to the company's positive profit forecast issued on Monday. 

The figure includes investment gains from the disposal of part of its stake in an associate and the divestment of certain businesses.

The company also expects adjusted profit for the year to amount to about 14.96 billion yuan, up around 41 percent year on year, while revenue is forecast to reach about 45.46 billion yuan, an increase of nearly 16 percent from a year earlier.
