Wall Street opens subdued after tech-led drop halts rally

Wall Street's main indexes opened muted on Tuesday, a day after logging their steepest one-day decline in nearly two weeks as technology stocks came under renewed selling pressure.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 27.1 points, or 0.06 percent, at the open to 48,434.88. The S&P 500 fell 5.3 points, or 0.08 percent, at the open to 6,900.44 , while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 8.7 points, or 0.04 percent, to 23,465.667 at the opening bell.
