Hong Kong stocks opened higher on Tuesday, lifted by gains in major technology shares.

The Hang Seng Index rose 232 points, or 0.91 percent, to 25,948, with turnover reaching HK$10 billion at the open. The China Enterprises Index gained 78 points, or 0.87 percent, to 9,157.
The Hang Seng Tech Index climbed 1.43 percent to 5,624, with most heavyweight tech names advancing. Baidu (9888) led early gains among index constituents, rising 3.85 percent to HK$116.10 at the open.
