Hong Kong shares extended their losing streak to a fourth session on Wednesday, closing at a four-week low as technology names dragged the market lower.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index fell 99 points, or 0.38 percent, to 25,830. The Hang Seng Tech Index dropped 0.69 percent to 5,606.
Market turnover amounted to HK$211.4 billion, down 12.67 percent from the previous session.
Xiaomi (1810) slid 4.81 percent to HK$38.82, making it the worst-performing blue chip and one of the biggest decliners on the Hang Seng Tech Index.
In Chinese mainland, the Shanghai Composite Index edged up 6 points, or 0.18 percent, to 3,946. The Shenzhen Component Index was little changed at 13,080.
