Hong Kong stocks little changed at open

Hong Kong shares opened little changed on Thursday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 17 points, or 0.07 percent, to 26,536 in early trade, with turnover reaching HK$5 billion. The China Enterprises Index slipped 0.06 percent to 9,437, while the Hang Seng Tech Index edged down 0.13 percent to 6,314.

Alibaba (9988), which jumped more than 9 percent on Wednesday, was flat at the open. Tencent (0700) added 0.4 percent and JD.com (9618) climbed 1.9 percent, while Meituan (3690) slipped 0.6 percent. Xiaomi (1810) was unchanged.

Zijin Mining (2899) advanced 3.9 percent, making it the best-performing blue chip at the start of the session.
