Chinese vice president Han Zheng met with HSBC (0005) chairman Mark Tucker in Beijing on Wednesday, reaffirming China’s commitment to high-level opening-up and multilateralism, according to Xinhua News Agency.

Han said president Xi Jinping met with international business leaders, including HSBC, last week and acknowledged the contributions of foreign enterprises in China’s reform, opening-up, and innovation, Xinhua reported.
The report said Han encouraged HSBC to deepen its presence in China and contribute to China-UK and China-EU relations.
Tucker expressed confidence in China’s economic prospects and pledged to support stable UK-China ties, according to Xinhua.
