Lee was not only a close friend of the group’s founder and former chairman Kwok Tak-seng but also a pivotal partner in co-founding SHKP, the developer said in a statement on Tuesday.
The two together laid a solid foundation for SHKP and played a leading role in shaping Hong
Kong’s real estate industry.
After founding Henderson Land Development (0012), Lee continued to collaborate closely with SHKP, together driving Hong Kong’s development and developing iconic projects like the International Finance Centre (IFC), which have significantly enriched the city’s landscape, the statement read.
Despite his demanding schedule, Lee dedicated over 48 years to serve as SHKP’s vice
chairman, offering invaluable insights that greatly benefited the group, the developer said, adding that his wisdom, foresight, and perseverance earned him immense respect
With his passing, the developer has lost a respected role model, but his noble character, selfless spirit and enduring legacy will forever be cherished, SHKP said.
