China’s vice premier He Lifeng met former US Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson in Beijing on Sunday to exchange views on Sino-US economic and trade tensions, state media Xinhua News Agency reported.
He, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and director of the Office of the Central Commission for Financial and Economic Affairs, highlighted that China's economy maintains the momentum of rebound and upward trend, and the market is expected to continue to improve, as the new development pattern takes shape.
Paulson said Sino-US relations remain critical and the Paulson Institute -- a non-profit organization focused on such relations -- is willing to continue to contribute to the stability of ties as well as green and low-carbon development.
