Emperor teams up for HK film revival

Emperor Motion Pictures has partnered with One Cool Film Production to co-produce and co-distribute ten locally-produced feature films over the next two years.

The films will mainly be filmed in Hong Kong with Hong Kong-based crews in an effort to revive the local film industry and nurture new talent.

A range of choices will be provided to filmgoers, as they will cover a wide range of genres, including horror, suspense, romance and comedy.

The two companies hope to once again showcase Hong Kong cinema to the world.

All film production in Hong Kong was effectively halted to comply with public health measures and to ensure the safety of film personnel, which affected the livelihoods of film industry workers working in front of and behind the camera, leading to a potential talent drain.
