Cheung Shi-yeung, chief financial officer of e-payment terminal solutions provider Pax Global (0327), said the company is aiming to improve its global market share to a double-digit level in the next few years.

He also said the global coronavirus pandemic may positively affect the industry in the long term.
Cheung expects the pandemic to impact the company's supply chain and shipments in the short term, but 90 percent of the capacity of its mainland factories and suppliers has resumed.
On the other hand, he said orders from customers could be impacted as 90 percent of its business is global.
He predicts the pandemic will accelerate the global shift to e-payments and the demand for point of sale terminals will rebound.
He said the company has HK$3 billion of cash and has no debt, which can still support expenditures, including dividend and repurchases, for two years.
