A Covid-positive 95-year-old grandma in Shanghai single-handedly fought off six police officers and climbed over the wall to go home after being sent to an isolation camp.
It was said that the 95-year-old woman lived alone and was used to collecting cardboard. The cardboard piled up in her home on the first floor, making it so that she could only get into the flat via the window while sleeping outdoors at night.
She was found wandering around after testing positive a few days ago, so the residents' committee called the police. However, after the police arrived, the grandma drove them away "one on six" with a stick in her hand.
Someone then enclosed her home with iron sheets to prevent her from spreading the virus, but she dismantled them soon after.
The residents' committee took her away to an isolation camp on a tricycle while she was sleeping but she fled back to her home and was seen "fighting" several medical workers.
Her story soon went viral online, and a netizen left a comment that read, "as a generation z, I don't think I can climb over that wall, but the granny did this like walking on the ground."
Another came up with an idea, suggesting that the staff promise to give her all the cardboard in the mobile hospital to make her stay there.
