The Chinese mainland reported 36 new coronavirus patients on Thursday, six of whom are local infections in northwestern Xinjiang and 30 from overseas, the National Health Commission announced.
A total of 33 new asymptomatic patients were recorded, while 832 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation. No deaths were reported on Thursday, and 17 patients were discharged from hospitals, state media reports.
Of the new imported patients 15 were reported in Shanghai, three in Guangdong, two each in Tianjin, Inner Mongolia, Fujian and Sichuan, and one each in Shanxi, Liaoning, Zhejiang and Yunnan.
Twenty-three new suspected patients, all arriving from outside the mainland, were reported in Shanghai Thursday.
By the end of Thursday, a total of 3,510 imported patients had been reported on the mainland. Of them, 3,171 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery, and 339 remained hospitalized. No deaths from the imported cases had been reported.-Photo: China Daily
