Macau's Electoral Affairs Commission has announced the results of the Legislative Assembly direct election, with elected candidates including Pereira Coutinho, Song Pek-kei, Lei Cheng-i, Leong Hong-sai, Chan Hao-weng, Lao Chi-ngai, Wong Kit-cheng, Lei Leong-wong, Leong Sun-iok, Ngan Iek-hang, Che Sai-wang, Lee Koi-lan, Loi I-weng and Chan Lai-kei.
Coutinho received 43,361 votes to become the top-polling candidate, while Song garnered 29,459 votes to become the highest-polling female candidate.
For indirect elections, successful candidates include Jose Chui Sai-peng , Ip Sio-kai, Si Ka-lon, Ho Kevin King-lun (industrial, commercial and financial sector); Leong Pou-u, Lam Lon-wai (labor sector); Iau Teng-pio, Vong Hou-piu, Wong Chon-kit (professional sector); Ho Ion-sang (social service and education sector); and Leong On-kei, Ma Chi-seng (cultural and sports sector).
Election Management Committee chairman Seng Ioi Man stated that the election proceeded orderly with smooth operations at all polling stations from opening to closing.
According to provisional data, the direct election saw 175,272 voters with a 53.35 percent turnout rate, while indirect elections recorded 6,645 voters with an 88.12 percent turnout rate during the 9am to 9pm voting period.
