Customs seize HK$2.5m counterfeit smuggled goods

Customs said today they detected a counterfeit goods smuggling case at the River Trade Terminal in Tuen Mun yesterday and seized about 38,000 pieces of goods, worth about HK$2.5 million, suspected to be involved in the case.

Officers inspected a 40-foot container arriving from Huangpu, Guangdong and destined for Turkey through risk assessment. Upon inspection, they seized a batch of counterfeit and smuggled goods including handbags, suitcases, wallets and accessories in the container. Photo: Hong Kong Customs.
