Alibaba launches latest edition of AI assistant Quark

Alibaba (9988) released a new version of its Quark application, a comprehensive AI assistant powered by Alibaba’s Qwen-based large language model.

Quark can now address a wide range of tasks across various scenarios, including artificial intelligence-powered search, writing, image generation, presentations, academic research, question answering, health inquiries, and travel planning.

“This upgraded version of Quark is just the beginning. As our model capabilities continue to evolve, we envision Quark as a gateway to endless possibilities where users can explore everything with AI,” said Wu Jia, chief executive of Quark and vice president of Alibaba, said in a statement..

Launched in 2016 as a web browser within Alibaba, Quark has since evolved into a AI-driven information platform, now boasting over 200 million users in China and holding the largest market share for AI search.
