The project aims to boost the daily productivity of GSA's roughly 12,000 employees and use the chatbot and other AI tools to analyze large amounts of contracting and procurement data, according to the report.
The move is reportedly part of Trump's 'AI Priority Agenda', which aims to modernize the federal government through advanced technology.
On Thursday, agents working for Musk were reported to have accessed highly restricted government records on millions of federal employees maintained by the Office of Personnel Management, according to the Washington Post, citing four US officials with knowledge of the developments.
