Speaking at the bourse operator’s opening ceremony for the new lunar year, Tong said the city’s market has shown “unparalleled resilience” in the past year, with a number of records set for stock transactions despite uncertainties from the external environment.
He added that with the mainland's and Hong Kong's support, HKEX will continue to enhance the strength and competitiveness of the financial market and attract more investors and enterprises to the city.
