HK stocks opened 50 points higher

The Hang Seng Index opened 52 points higher or 0.26 percent at 20,118 points this morning, with tech giant Alibaba (9988) once rising nearly 3 percent to HK$87.2.

The Hang Seng Tech Index was up by 1.19 percent to 4,713 points.
