China Communications Construction's new contracts value rise 7.3pc

China Communications Construction (1800) released the value of new contracts increase 7.3 percent year-on-year to 1.88 trillion yuan (HK$ 2 trillion), achieving 95 percent of the annual goal, according to a filing on Sunday.

The value of new contracts of infrastructure construction business, infrastructure design business, dredging business and other businesses amounted to 1.7 trillion yuan, 52.64 billion yuan, 116 billion yuan and 11.94 billion yuan respectively.

All businesses from overseas markets amounted to 359.72 billion yuan, representing an increase of 12.5 percent as compared to the same period of last year, accounting for approximately 19 percent of the company’s new contracts value.

The company said that it will accelerate the construction of the emerging business layout, intensify the development of the emerging business market, and actively build new quality productive forces with CCCC characteristics.

The value of new contracts of all businesses from the emerging business amounted to 705.34 billion yuan, representing an increase of 46.43 percent as compared to the same period of last year.
