The funeral of the late Lee Shau-kee, the founder of Henderson Land Development, was attended by a multitude of business figures and politicians on Sunday to pay respects and bid farewell.
The tycoon passed away on March 17 at the age of 97. The public memorial and funeral procession will be held on Monday (Apr 28) at the Hong Kong Funeral Home.
Hong Kong Liaison Office director Zheng Yanxiong, Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui Ching-yu, Deputy Financial Secretary Michael Wong Wai-lun, Secretary for Culture, Sports, and Tourism Rosanna Law Shuk-pui, Secretary for Security Chris Tang Ping-keung, Secretary for Justice Paul Lam Ting-kwok, Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs Alice Mak Mei-kuen, former chief executives Donald Tsang Yam-kuen, Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, former Macau chief executives Edmund Ho Hau-wah and former Chief Secretary Henry Tang Ying-yen are among the political figures to pay respects to Lee.
The chairman & managing director of Sun Hung Kai Properties Raymond Kwok Ping-luen, the former chairman of Sun Hung Kai Properties Thomas Kwok Ping-kwong, the founder of the Pacific Century Group Richard Li Tzar-kai, the chairman of the Bank of East Asia David Li Kwok-po, the non-executive vice-chairman of New World Development Adrian Cheng Chi-kong, the chairman of Lan Kwai Fong Group Allan Zeman and the Standard Chartered International president Benjamin Hung Pi-cheng also pay respects to Lee Shau-kee.
