The public can now explore the Art Garden, an outdoor space adjacent to The Henderson, featuring multiple nature-inspired installations since its opening last Saturday (Mar 29).
Designed by the world-leading Zaha Hadid Architects, the Art Garden’s elegant curves echo The Henderson’s design, making it the company’s first sculpture garden in Asia.
Inside the garden, Breathing Tree, the first zero-carbon kinetic sculpture by American environmental artist Ned Kahn to be exhibited in Hong Kong, is now on permanent display.
The 7-meter-high installation combines wind, water, and mist to visualize nature’s power, dynamism, and energy.
Meanwhile, Hypnotic Dream, a digital light artwork by German artist Philipp Frank, translates the inner frequencies of the garden’s 200-year-old Chorisia tree into abstract light projections, complemented by an immersive soundscape.
Local art group STICKYLINE x Leanna Lee has also been invited to create The Fractal Forest, a limited-time sculpture on display until May 31.
