Part of LANDMARK’s Tomorrow’s CENTRAL program, the initiative aims to create new cultural encounters in the city’s financial heart, connecting art with daily life and redefining how visitors experience culture within an urban setting.
Running throughout March and April, Art LANDMARK features exhibitions, interactive installations, art walks and cultural events, offering visitors a chance to engage with both international artists and Hong Kong’s evolving creative scene.
Ayako Rokkaku’s Hong Kong debut installation
At the center of the program is the Hong Kong solo debut of internationally acclaimed Japanese artist Ayako Rokkaku, known for her vibrant finger-painted works that blend childlike imagination with expressive energy.
Presented in collaboration with GALLERY TARGET, Rokkaku will unveil “THE ISLAND – ONIGASHIMA”, her largest interactive installation in Hong Kong, at the LANDMARK Atrium from March 23 to April 17.
Inspired by Japanese folklore, the installation recreates an island landscape filled with Rokkaku’s signature colorful characters and whimsical imagery. Visitors are invited to physically interact with the artwork, creating a playful environment where art, storytelling and participation merge.
To complement the installation, BELOWGROUND will host a pop-up featuring original artworks and exclusive merchandise, including a special lamp collaboration with AllRightsReserved.
MotifX exhibition explores traditional Chinese patterns
Art LANDMARK also highlights the relationship between heritage and contemporary design through the MotifX – Embracing the Beauty of Chinese Culture exhibition.
Organized by the Hong Kong Design Institute, the exhibition, now running until March 31, explores the cultural significance of traditional Chinese patterns, with this year’s exhibition focusing on the motif of Radical Grass.

Designers including Chulan Kwak, Cynthia Mak, Karmuel Young & Tomy Ng, Made by Sandwich, Moon.noon, STICKYLINE, and Leona Fung reinterpret the motif through contemporary design and artistic expression.
Sotheby’s events highlight art collecting culture
Art collectors and connoisseurs will also find a rich program of events through Sotheby’s, which operates its art-focused maison within LANDMARK.
The season includes the first Hong Kong edition of the Sotheby’s Wine & Spirits Festival, now running until March 26.
The auction house will also present its Spring Modern & Contemporary Art Evening Auctions, preceded by a museum-quality exhibition from March 20 to March 29, with auctions taking place on March 29 and 30.
Art Walk invites visitors to explore Central as an open-air gallery
Beyond indoor exhibitions, Hongkong Land is also introducing the Hongkong Land Art Walk in Central, encouraging visitors to discover art integrated throughout the district.
The self-guided experience turns Central into an open-air gallery, showcasing sculptures, installations and curated works displayed across Hongkong Land’s properties.
Two exhibitions anchor the route. At The Rotunda in Exchange Square, the Hongkong Land Art Collection: Over 100 Years of Patronage exhibition will make its public debut from March 2 to April 10, presenting artworks collected over more than a century.
Meanwhile at Jardine House, the exhibition Unveiling Stories, Reviving Memories will feature paintings, vintage prints and historical photographs drawn from the Hongkong Land Collection.
Street party to conclude the celebration
The season will culminate with OPEN, a large-scale outdoor celebration that will transform Chater Road into a lively cultural gathering space on March 29 from 3pm to 10pm.
Powered by HE.R and Hongkong Land, the event will combine music, art and street culture, including performances by DJs TRIPOLISM, who will make their Asia debut.
The event will also coincide with the grand finale of the HKwalls Festival, featuring live street art creations on Art On the Move trucks and mural engagement led by artist Mooncasket.
Culinary experiences inspired by art
To complement the art program, LANDMARK will also introduce a range of curated dining experiences. From March 23 to April 18, visitors can enjoy an Ayako Rokkaku-inspired afternoon tea set at Café LANDMARK, blending artistic themes with culinary presentation.
