Britain's Princess Catherine will hail the power of "togetherness" during "uncertain" times in a letter to guests at her Christmas carol service, Kensington Palace said Tuesday.
"At a time when life can sometimes feel fragmented or uncertain, the Christmas season invites us to remember the power of reaching out to one another with generosity of heart, understanding and hope," the princess wrote in a letter released ahead of the annual carol service on Friday.
It will be the fifth time she hosts the "Together at Christmas" service at London's Westminster Abbey.
"This carol service offers a moment of collective togetherness, a chance to celebrate the spirit of community and service, and to honour the visible and invisible bonds that unite us all," added Kate, as the wife of heir-to-the-throne Prince William is popularly known.
The 43-year-old future queen announced she was cancer-free in September 2024, months after revealing she was undergoing chemotherapy for an undisclosed cancer in March that year.
During last year's Christmas service, one of her first public appearances after completing her cancer treatment, the princess reflected on the role of "love" in "the most difficult times" in her letter to guests.
This year, her letter will focus on the importance of "simple acts of care", and how Christmas "reminds us how deeply our lives are woven together".
"At its heart, Christmas speaks of love taking form in the simplest, most human ways. Not in sentimental or grand gestures, but gentle ones," she writes.
"Our words, our choices, and even the ways we look out for one another -- they ripple outward, touching lives we may never see."
Catherine has addressed similar themes of forging connections and acts of kindness in recent engagements involving charities she supports, including working with children and families.
