CNOOC chair Wang steps down

China National Offshore Oil Corporation (0883) announced Wang Dongjin has stepped down as chairman, effective on Wednesday.

He has also ceased to serve as a non-executive director and relinquished his chairmanships of the nomination committee and the strategy and sustainability committee.

Before the appointment of new candidates for the vacated positions, vice chairman of the board Zhou Xinhuai will preside over the board's work, as well as those of the nomination and the strategy and sustainability committees.
