Xiaomi's (1810) new electric sport utility vehicle YU7 will be displayed at an auto show in Shenzhen starting from Sunday, after it was introduced last week without prices.
YU7 will be exhibited together with other Xiaomi EV models at the 2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Auto Show, the company’s auto unit said in a post on Weibo.
The auto show will be held from May 31 to June 8 at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center.
Xiaomi Auto said it will keep the YU7's doors closed during the exhibition, because many features haven't been officially launched.
On May 22, Xiaomi founder and chairman Lei Jun unveiled the second EV of the smartphone maker at its 15th anniversary product launch event.
While Lei didn’t disclose the price of YU7, he said 199,000 yuan (HK$216,993) is impossible.
Xiaomi's YU7 targets Tesla’s Model Y, whose prices start from 263,500 yuan.
Citibank projects YU7 to be sold between 250,000 yuan and 320,000 yuan.
