MSc in E-Commerce & Internet Computing
HKU’s MSc in E-Commerce & Internet Computing (MSc (ECom&IComp)) is a comprehensive and interdisciplinary programme that aims to provide students with professional knowledge on the development of e-commerce and internet technologies and business opportunities. The programme is designed to develop students’ critical thinking and help them understand, evaluate and manage a wide range of business technologies, while keeping in mind the core objectives and traditional strengths of business.
This programme integrates technology and business, covering e-commerce (ECOM), internet computing (ICOM) and some computer science (COMP) courses. Students can choose to study different courses according to their needs. The programme offers a one-year full-time and a two-year part-time mode of study, allowing you to coordinate your work schedule and study progress.
MSc in Computer Science
The MSc in Computer Science (CompSc) has a long history of providing comprehensive training in the theory and state-of-the-art techniques of computer science, covering both fundamental and applied courses. Students can choose to benefit from the general courses in computer science or focus on specific streams of study for in-depth learning in the field of information and communication technology (ICT).
The programme offers four streams of specialization, including Cyber Security, Financial Computing, Multimedia Computing and General Stream. You can flexibly choose courses, projects or dissertations based on your work experience and career goals to customize your study plan. The programme is available in one-year full-time and two-year part-time modes of study.
MSc in Financial Technology & Data Analytics
The MSc(FTDA) in Financial Technology & Data Analytics focuses on the fields of fintech and data analytics, and is devoted to nurturing professionals with interdisciplinary knowledge and innovative thinking. The programme integrates multiple disciplines such as computer science, statistics, finance and law to help students fully master the core knowledge and practical skills of modern financial technology. The programme offers a two-year part-time study mode.
Graduates will become experts in the fintech industry and will be able to play important roles in financial institutions such as banks, insurance companies and investment firms. They are equipped with interdisciplinary knowledge and comprehensive skills to address complex business challenges and drive innovation and development of financial technology.
