Arsenal can end their 21-year wait for an English Premier League title this season, winger Bukayo Saka said after the Gunners beat Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 in the Champions League.
Arsenal finished runners-up in 2022-23 and took the Premier League title race to the final day last season before once again finishing second behind Manchester City.
The north London side are sitting third in the league standings, and their victory over PSG underlined their title credentials, with Kai Havertz and Saka scoring.
"I don't want to put too much pressure on us but I do think that this is the year [that we can win the title]," Saka said.
"It's just that spirit in me ... I believe in myself a lot," the 23-year-old said, adding: "We believe we're a top team. We showed that [against PSG]."
Meanwhile, manager Mikel Arteta praised Havertz, whose 20th-minute header - his fifth goal of the campaign - set Arsenal on course to victory.
"He has been unbelievable. His football brain, the way he understands space, his timing," Arteta said. "His work ethic is incredible and now he is a real threat around the box."
Elsewhere, last season's beaten finalists Borussia Dortmund gave Celtic a reality check with an emphatic 7-1 win in Germany , while Barcelona, Manchester City and Inter Milan claimed one-sided victories and French debutants Brest won 4-0 at Red Bull Salzburg.
Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden, Erling Haaland and James McAtee fired visitors City to a 4-0 win over Slovan Bratislava in Slovakia, while Robert Lewandowski scored twice in Barcelona's 5-0 win over Swiss champions Young Boys.
Inter swept aside Red Star Belgrade 4-0 at the San Siro.
