HK’s Adam Mak finishes seventh in National Games 100m breaststroke final

Hong Kong record holder Adam Mak Sai-ting touched the wall in seventh place with 1:00.53 in the men’s 100-meter breaststroke final at the 15th National Games, as reigning world champion Qin Haiyang of Shanghai stormed to gold in 58.98 seconds.

Racing from lane seven, Mak got off to a slightly sluggish start but powered through to post a respectable time among the eight finalists. Qin, fresh from his global title, dominated the field to claim his first National Games crown in the event.
