Police have arrested a male driver in Mong Kok overnight and seized five suspected replica firearms at the scene where three customs officers were slashed during a drug operation in To Kwa Wan on Thursday.

Authorities intercepted a seven-seater vehicle on Argyle Street around 1am Friday and took the man into custody, suspecting his involvement in the case. Police also discovered a quantity of drugs at the original crime scene, with the total value still being calculated.

The incident occurred at 5:09pm Thursday when a 38-year-old man allegedly refused to cooperate and attacked three officers with a knife before fleeing. Police later recovered a approximately 30-centimeter-long knife in a stairwell at the location.
The case has been classified as assault, trafficking in dangerous drugs and possession of imitation firearms, assigned to the West Kowloon regional crime unit.
Three injured officers - one with right hand injuries, one with right hand and left leg injuries, and one with left leg injuries - were transported conscious to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
