As the countdown ticks down for the 15th National Games, 400,000 tickets for the Hong Kong competition region are set to go on sale in phases beginning August 28 with a real-name registration system.
The initial batch includes tickets for the beach volleyball, men's handball, men's under-22 basketball, and rugby sevens that will be held in the city, with remaining events released in phases starting at the end of September.
All tickets will be sold under a real-name registration system, where citizens can now complete online registration on the ticketing platforms by providing their Hong Kong Identity Card or Home Return Permit number.
Five million tickets available for the National Games
The 400,000 tickets for the Hong Kong competition region are among the five million tickets that will go on sale in batches for most of the competitive and mass participation events at the National Games and the National Special Olympic Games, including the events that will be held in Macau as well as mainland China.
Notably, there is a limit on ticket purchases; each person can buy a maximum of six tickets for regular events and three tickets for popular events per transaction, with one ticket allowed per valid ID for each event.
It is reported that the ticket will display the holder's partial name and identification number. Names can be changed under the real-name registration up to 24 hours before the event starts.
