The “In-Home Expo 2025”, the city's largest one-stop home expo, concluded on Monday with a record attendance of over 400,000 people throughout its four-day run, representing an 18 percent increase over last year.
Additionally, the newly introduced “Senior Living Pavilion”, designed to showcase innovative solutions to enhance the quality of life among the seniors with an array of tailor-made home products and services, has attracted a significant number of family visitors, highlighting the market potential of the silver economy.
The arrangement to offer free admission for seniors aged 65 and up also encouraged both elderly attendees and their younger family members to enjoy the expo together, fostering a senior-friendly shopping environment and promoting the development of the silver market.
Eddie Lau, Regional Manager of Sinomax, stated there was an increase of about 20 to 30 percent in business, meeting the company's expectations.
Meanwhile, Garry Chan, one of the vendors, attributed the increased foot traffic throughout the weekend to successful event promotion, stating that this year's expo was their busiest ever, with a 30 percent increase in sales.
Tim Yuen, Sales Director of Goodwin Health Care Limited, noted that visitor attendance exceeded their expectations, particularly in the “Senior Living Pavilion.” Similarly, the head of Fu Hong Industries Limited reported sales figures that doubled over the four-day expo compared to other exhibitions.
Moreover, over 20 free professional seminars and consultation sessions hosted throughout the expo were completely full, with topics such as home safety with barrier-free designs and smart home applications generating significant interest.
Carl Wong, Chairman of the Exhibition Group, remarked that this year's expo reflected the growing demand for quality home solutions, expressing satisfaction in seeing families from different generations attending together.
Wong stated the company will continue to enhance the exhibition to provide a richer home experience for visitors of all ages, emphasizing that the essence of “home” was evident as young people introduced the latest technologies to seniors, who in turn shared valuable advice on home arrangements..
Launched in 2013, the Hong Kong Home Expo was held annually in May or June to provide visitors with the latest home products and services.
To provide a comprehensive selection of home products, the “Autumn Home Expo” was introduced every September starting in 2022, offering rich choices for families and creating business opportunities for the home industry.
