Eat The Kiwi, award-winning online grocer are launching a delicious series of ‘Guest Chef’ Recipe Kits.
Teaming up with Hong Kong’s best chefs, Eat The Kiwi is crafting a series of exclusive one-off recipe kits. Amongst the first are Chef Peggy Chan and Chef Leonard Cheung, each providing guest recipes to feature alongside regular kits from the Eat The Kiwi Development Kitchen team.
Just like Eat The Kiwi’s regular kits, customers will receive an easy-to-follow recipe card along with all the ingredients needed to create the dish at home. Recipes cards are available in both English and Traditional Chinese.
“The creation of this series allows us to introduce some of the chefs we work with on the wholesale side of our business, and support them during this hard time,” says Rebekah Bradley, Marketing Director of Eat The Kiwi.
“We can support the chefs we work with, celebrate them on our own platforms, and create an avenue for them to continue to delight guests at home.”
Eat The Kiwi will be donating 10% of sales of each kit towards a charity of the chef’s choice, or directly to their restaurant to support staff.
As such, 10% of sales from Chef Chan’s recipe kit will go towards her impact venture - Zero Foodprint Asia. “Our aim is to gather stakeholders within our food system, and collectively combine our efforts to fund the transition towards regenerative agricultural practices on acres of land in an effort to draw down carbon,” says Chan, a leading plant-based chef and restaurateur.
Meanwhile, a competition will run alongside each guest chef recipe kit launch. The first competition is in collaboration with Ma Restaurant and the seeds of life, a Restaurant ethos aligns with Chef Chan’s. Eat The Kiwi has purchased the gift rather than asking for sponsorship as a way to further support the community. The competition gives Eat The Kiwi foodies the opportunity to win a table for 4 for a 4-course set lunch and a bottle of prosecco, valued at HK$2,000 - entries via eat the kiwi’s Instagram
Developed by Chef Chan, the first recipe ‘Moroccan Mushroom Hemp Wraps with Cilantro and Raglan Coconut Raita’ has been introduced a few weeks after she launching her new recipe book, Provenance, which documents her journey into building and growing Grassroots Pantry.
Eat The Kiwi also has a wide variety of high quality, great value groceries to order alongside the recipe kits.
