The Hebe Haven Yacht Club has been providing premium yachting and boating facilities as a private members club in the picturesque bay of Pak Sha Wan for over 50 years.
Established in Pak Sha Wan, Sai Kung, in 1963, The Hebe Haven Yacht Club is a private members club that provides first-class yacht racing and boating facilities for members.
Located in ‘the back garden of Hong Kong’, The Hebe Haven Yacht Club boasts some of the best sailing waters and beaches in its vicinity.
Commitment to education
Notably, the Club works closely with local schools and organizations to offer training facilities and professional instruction to develop youth sailing in Hong Kong.
Organized by the Club, the ‘Development Fund for Youth Sailing’ program held at the Sail Training Centre is aimed at promoting sailing to young children. With a fleet of over 40 dinghies, there are sailing courses for both adults and children, as well as an extensive school sailing program.
Nurturing a welcoming and convivial environment, the Club has been holding the largest and most prominent yacht racing events in Hong Kong, including the ‘Typhoon Series’ – the largest local summer regatta, ‘Summer Saturday Series’, ‘Port Shelter Regatta’, and ‘Bart’s Bash Yacht Regatta’.
These events not only attract keen interest from racing enthusiasts, but also a significant number of entries from yacht clubs across Hong Kong.
Making social impacts
As one of Hong Kong’s ‘Caring Company’ members and having been awarded the ‘15 Years Plus Caring Company Logo’ in 2019/20, The Hebe Haven Yacht Club proactively and continuously contributes to the local community with regularly organized events.
The Club has been running the ‘24 Hour Charity Dinghy Race’ for 17 years, which sees junior sailors locking horns and raising money for various local charities. The one-of-a-kind charity and community event has raised over HKD$10 million since its inception in 2002.
