Former England football captain David Beckham has sold his luxury Miami penthouse for US$24.6 million (around HK$192 million), netting the soccer icon a US$4.8 million profit after four years of ownership.
Beckham Brand Limited, a London-based company led by the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star, closed the sale of the 9,200-square-foot residence at One Thousand Museum, the exclusive residential tower designed by the late architect Zaha Hadid.
The Inter Miami CF co-owner originally purchased the five-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom penthouse for US$19.8 million in 2020.
Located on the 59th floor of the 62-story tower along Biscayne Boulevard, the residence features a sprawling balcony with panoramic views of Miami.
The sale represents a significant return on investment for Beckham, who has deep ties to Miami through his ownership stake in Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami CF.
One Thousand Museum, completed in 2019, stands as one of only two residential towers Hadid designed in the United States before her death in 2016. The Pritzker Prize-winning architect’s distinctive curved exoskeleton has made the building an iconic addition to Miami’s skyline.
