US warns any company in the world using Huawei's AI chips violates its rules

The US Department of Commerce has warned that the use of artificial intelligence chips made by China's Huawei by any company in the world may violate its export control rules, though the 90-day Sino-US trade truce brought relief to global markets.

Moreover, the agency’s Bureau of Industry and Security issued a statement that it also plans to warn the public that any use of US chips to train Chinese AI models is a violation of US law.

The latest restrictions are considered to prevent enterprises in other countries to purchase Huawei’s chips.
