Packing Angel is Purton's pick for Classic Cup

Zac Purton will ride Packing Angel in the Hong Kong Classic Cup after the four-year-old recorded his third consecutive victory at Sha Tin last Friday.

Purton steered Packing Angel to a dominant success over 1,400 meters on the Chinese New Year Raceday and has opted to partner the son of Shocking when he steps up to 1,800m in the second leg of the Classic Series on March 2.

That leaves trainer Francis Lui Kin-wai looking for a new jockey to ride Packing Hermod, who ran home for third as the Classic Mile favorite under Purton.
