K Wah International flags HK$900 million loss for 2025

K Wah International (0173) warned of a loss of up to HK$900 million for last year, as the Hong Kong property developer took a hit by impairment on unsold inventories amid a market downturn. 

That compared to a net profit of HK$335 million for 2024. 

The loss was primarily due to the impairment provisions on unsold inventories, change in fair value of investment properties, and share of losses of joint ventures, K Wah said. 

The impairment provisions are non-cash in nature and will not have an impact on the operating cash flow of the group, it said, adding that its financial position remained healthy with strong liquidity.
