Xi emphasizes advancing high-quality development

Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed advancing China's high-quality development and upholding the underlying principle of pursuing progress while ensuring stability.

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a symposium with non-CPC personages in Beijing, with Li Qiang, Cai Qi, and Ding Xuexiang of the Politburo Standing Committee attending.

Xi noted that China should better coordinate domestic economy and international trade struggles, while balancing development and security.

The country will continue to boost domestic demand and optimize the supply side, developing new quality productive forces, deepening the development of the unified national market, as well as maintaining social harmony and stability, he added.

In addition, Xi expressed three hopes for Non-Communist parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and personages without party affiliations, including deeply learning the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC, actively proposing on the formulation and implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan, and building consensus and unite efforts to promote stable and positive economic development.
