Hong Kong's stock market fell for a second consecutive day, as investors continued capitalizing on tech shares' gains.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index dropped 356 points, or 1.3 percent, to close at 26,128.
The index had fallen as much as 411 points during the day. For the week, the Hang Seng Index lost 416 points, or 1.6 percent.
The tech sector led the decline, with the Hang Seng Tech Index tumbling 184 points, or 2.9 percent, to finish at 6,195. It declined 1.6 percent for the week.
The total market turnover was HK$323.67 billion. Mainland investors continued to be net buyers, with net inflows of HK$10.54 billion via the Stock Connect scheme.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.65 percent on Friday to 3,828, but rose 0.2 percent for the week. The Shenzhen Component Index fell 1.76 percent to 13,209, finishing the week up over 1 percent.
